#besembekkie met his older brother Stiaan today. It is Stiaan’s 21st birthday. Stiaan was not in the best of moods so taking a good picture of them together was not easy at all – we failed with that part of the project! Maybe next time. Stiaan lives in a home for disabled, Casa Caritas, in Kempton Park and comes home every second or third weekend. He suffers from a syndrome called Cri-du-Chat and is mentally and physically disabled.
This was #besembekkie ‘s first road trip and he loved meeting all the residents at
Casa Caritas and the most amazing staff taking care of all these disabled persons.
There is absolutely no doubt in our minds that letting Stiaan live in a loving home for disabled persons like Casa Caritas was a good decision for all members of our family.
