Linger Longer is a short drive out of Dullstroom. A number of houses are available and we chose Linger To, a romantic cottage equipped just for two.
This fully equipped for two, self-catering cottage, has a king-size bed, en suite bathroom with large bathtub, shower and outside shower, fireplace, kitchen, and braai facilities.
In the mornings we woke up being surrounded by mist. We loved the outside table and chairs and enjoyed most of our meals there. The braai is built-in and on the stoep, and we were still able to enjoy some wine on our stoep and prepare our meat despite some unexpected rain.
Three fully stocked dams are on the property and a number of other dams are also in close vicinity. A number of hiking trails around the farm are available and one can stretch legs in all directions. A number of rare birds have been seen in the area and twitchers might be lucky and tick some off their lists.
Was there anything we did not like? Nothing at all. OK. Maybe. A small section of the road was horrible to drive on and people with false teeth should secure them before going there 🙂
Will we go back? Anytime. One of the more romantic places we have been to. The misty, rainy conditions might have contributed to that but we are confident it will just be as pleasant without that.
