Yvette took us on a guided tour of their farm this morning. We saw lots of farm thingies. Thingies like sheep and cattle and sheepdog and a graveyard. OK, we know a farm does not have to have a graveyard, but if your farm has a rich history as Houtenrus does, it most probably will have one. Also, she showed us the old “plaasopstal” burnt down by the Brits in 1901 after they found out the O’Grady family provided fresh horses to the Boers. It felt like walking on holy ground when taking pictures there. Find a proper review on Houtenrus HERE.
