Brahman HillsREVIEWED AND VERIFIED!
Just off the N3, about eight kilometres from Nottingham Road is Brahman Hills. A number of hotel rooms, as well as self-catering cottages, are available. The cottages are located in the Blue Crane Nature Reserve. We were allocated the Impala cottage, fully equipped for two people.
For entertainment, we had a TV with DSTV inside (we honestly don’t know if it works as we hardly ever turn on a TV while on a road trip), and a jacuzzi outside. A fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, kettle and microwave and a braai outside for preparing meals. We also had a fireplace available should a cold front hit us but fortunately that never happened. A double shower complimented a neat bathroom.
Irma enjoyed a session in the spa while I relaxed in the jacuzzi – we both had a bit of me-time! We had some meals at two of the restaurants and we can highly recommend this. All was good and we had a most enjoyable evening with drinks afterwards on a large patio overlooking the property.
Brahman Hills is a venue also geared for weddings and conferences with all the facilities, including a chapel, ensuring wonderful memories and picture-perfect weddings. It also is the perfect stopover for people travelling between Gauteng and Kwazulu-Natal, and the perfect base to explore the KZN Midlands.
We loved the number of feral cats in “rehab” 🙂 found all over the property. Some are shyer than others but we managed to make a friend or two. You can read more about the history and program with these cats on their web site.
To summarize: This is a perfect stopover for travellers and holidaymakers and a great venue for conferences and venues. Given the opportunity to return we most certainly will.
