Buffelskop Caravan Park is on a winding road between Knysna/Sedgefield and Buffalo Bay. It should not be confused with the Buffalo Bay Caravan Park. This is a very basic park run by the Knysna Municipality but that does not mean it is a second-grade park.

Ablutions are clean and lawns are well-kept. Level and straight roads with steep gradients on the turns at the end results in three terraces with magnificent ocean views from each site.

This, to this day, is our favourite ocean-camping site.

Facilities are basic but shops are around the corner in Buffalo Bay while Knysna offers a lot more. However, we were there to relax and our outings were limited to purchasing ice-cream in Buffalo Bay and strolling down the beach across the road from where we camped.

What did we love most: We loved the terraced camping site, allowing for all the sites to have almost perfect sea-views, does not matter if you are in the first, middle or third row. This site will most definitely see us again.
