We are always looking for places close to Johannesburg where one can leave work at 4 PM, not arrived too late, and still have a relaxing weekend. B’Sorah Luxury Tented Camp is just one of those, situated between Broederstroom and Hekpoort.
With a donkey (we were warned not to touch as it is maintained 24/7 by staff) for warm water, no electricity except for a fridge and lighting running off solar power, this is one of those down-to-earth but still luxurious enough experiences we loved.
Self-catering (breakfast can be enjoyed at the farmhouse with prior arrangement) and fully equipped for two. En suite with a lovely large shower.
Each tent has a comfortable area to braai at and we sipped on wine while enjoying a good fire in the boma. Views are limited to a small stream in front of the tent and a small hill on the other side but that is why we go to most of these places – to see as little people as possible.
There are plenty of tracks for a walk, running or cycling and we did take some walks and enjoyed the fresh air.
Will we go again? No doubt that we will go again should we ever have the opportunity.
